Disclaimer: I am aware I left the Wii out of this. It has plenty of good stuff coming out too, but I just couldn’t be bothered writing about it right now. We all know it’s going to do fantastic anyway. Nintendo don’t really have to do much other than tip back on their chair and let out a slight guffaw as they watch Sony and Microsoft battle it out far below.
Ok, so let me get this out of the way first. There is no flame baiting going on here, no rampant fanboyism, and certainly no console advocacy. I like to consider myself a mature and informed gamer, one who sees the respective qualities of all consoles rather than adamantly allying to just one, blinkering myself to the qualities of any other. I like games and I want to experience as many as I can, so you’ll never hear me rampantly declaring my utter abhorrence of any one system (although sometimes certain things can get me down – like those three little red lights we all know far too well).
